RUFFARCHITECTS have received planning permission from Barnet Council for our project at Wetherill Road! This extension provides a soft integration with

the mature garden through the use of both

timber and clerestory windows

With both projects now at Planning stage, we've been exploring the contrasts in materials on our Wetherill Road and Zealand Road projects - using charred timber and Reglit glass

Dora Carr Close Phase 2 is progressing well with

the foundations and the floors emerging from

the ground for the 19 terrace houses, in front

of the Phase 1 community centre at our

site in Oxford

RUFFARCHITECTS have just received planning permission from Haringey Council for our next stage

at Church Road, a contemporary house in the heart

of the Highgate Conservation Area. Read more

The roof steel is in place at our Westlands Drive project! Located just outside Oxford, and providing 100% social rented housing, this three storey residential block is split into two distinct masses with a covered

external courtyard

RUFFARCHITECTS have received planning permission for our project at Zealand Road - a contemporary extension constructed of semi translucent glass planks within a London Borough of Tower Hamlets conservation area

The walls in our studio were brought to life with an innovative perception of our city’s architectural landmarks, as we invited the public to add to our historic London skyline mural, illuminating the entire RUFFARCHITECTS studio!

We opened up our studio to the wider architectural community to join us for after work drinks on 9th June, as part of LFA Open Studios programme in Fitzrovia - a unique event for the public to explore our studio and go behind the scenes at our practice.

RUFFARCHITECTS have developed scheme designs that are now being appraised ahead of a planning review for a key corner site in the Hackney Conservation Area.

We  recently visited Victoria Miro Gallery and were given a guided tour of the Passage/s exhibition by Do Ho Suh, an ethereal fabric corridor modelled on his homes and studios around the world, occupying the 25-metre long gallery space

 We're developing design concepts for

Zealand Road, a contemporary extension constructed of semi translucent glass planks creating a tempered internal environment that changes with the time of day and season of the year

We really enjoyed taking part in the PechaKucha event at the Surface Design Show, along with a great line-up of speakers, including Chris Dyson, Elly Ward,

Henning Stummel, David Howarth,

and Timo Haedrich

We made our way the  Zaha Hadid: Early Paintings and Drawings exhibition at the Serpentine Sackler Gallery. The Gallery was renovated by Zaha Hadid Architects in 2013 to create new gallery spaces, adding a curving cafe and events space

Field Trip - Design Museum

Scheme designs for McLeod Road, a key Crossrail 2 site in Abbey Wood, are progressing well, as are key stake-holder meetings - looking forward to further updates in early 2017!

Our artwork was one of the centre pieces at the Article 25 Live Auction, held at the RIBA, along with key pieces from Antony Gormley and David Adjaye, we  helped in raising much needed funds for Article 25

Horseshoe Crescent receives planning permission, to remodel and refurbish the existing ground floor of this detached 2-storey family home

Our artwork, Housing Study In Metal & Wood, inspired by one of the last social housing schemes to be designed by LB Lambeth, has been selected as one of the centre pieces at the Article 25 Annual 10x10 Live Auction

The studio headed to Tate Modern to visit the new Switch House designed by Herzog and de Meuron,

a ten-storey tower situated at the southeast corner of the former Bankside Power Station.

University of Portsmouth to give a lecture about

our emerging practice, and how we focus on

materials and light within our projects

of Canto Court - transforming the 164 self-contained studios, communal areas and restaurant facilities into a key destination for the iconic Old Street area
