Working with a new residential developer, RUFFARCHITECTS are providing supporting feasibility study work
to assist in the purchase bid for the site. The existing 24 two and three storey properties and private street provide
the perfect historical shell to be retrofitted with an innovative Build To Rent model. Removal of standard
house stairs and replacement with super lobbies and central access routes with views to the outside provide
the basis of the 144 unit scheme.
Lower ground floor, infill new build and roof level construction increases the massing sensitively within the conservation area and helps deliver the viability density in a harmonious way. The private road becomes the focus of creating a new community in the neglected and rundown part of Clapham.
